mtvU Woodie Awards
According to a press release, Motion City Soundtrack will be presenters at the mtvU Woodie Awards. The awards will air live from the Roseland Ballroom in New York on Thursday, November 15th at 8pm ET on mtvU and mtvu.com.

Remember to keep voting for Motion City Soundtrack's video for "Broken Heart" to win for Best Video! Voting ends November 2 at 11:59 pm ET (that's this Friday!).

TRL Tomorrow
Motion City Soundtrack's video for "This Is For Real" will debut on MTV's Total Request Live (TRL) tomorrow (October 30th, 2007). TRL airs on MTV at 3:30 pm EST. After the show make sure you vote for the video!

Japan Tour Dates
Motion City Soundtrack will be returning to Japan in February 2008 for 3 shows with guests Cartel. Tickets will go on sale on November 17th.

The dates are:

MCS to play Soundwave Festival
Good news for all you Australian fans, Motion City Soundtrack will be playing the Soundwave Festival in Australia in February/March 2008. The dates are:

Saturday, February 23 - Brisbane, QLD - Riverstage & Parklands
Sunday, February 24 - Sydney, NSW - Sydney Park
Friday, February 29 - Melbourne, VIC - Showgrounds
Saturday, March 1 - Adelaide, SA
Monday, March 3 - Perth, WA - Steel Blue Oval

YouTube Lip Sync Contest + MCS in Blender
Motion City Soundtrack has posted a new contest where fans will create videos of themselves lip syncing the song "This Is For Real" and upload them to YouTube.

Here are the details (from their MySpace blog):

HOW TO ENTER
1) Create a video of you lip syncing or dancing to "This Is For Real" by Motion City Soundtrack
2) Upload your video to YouTube
3) Tag your video with "Motion City Soundtrack Lip-Sync"
4) E-mail a link to the video, your name and your mailing address to contest@epitaph.com

PRIZES
The best part is, EVERYONE who submits a video will win a free MCS poster!

Even better, three grand prize winners will win even bigger prizes as follows:
1) Most Played Video Winner will receive a brand spankin' new Ipod Touch!
2) Bands choice Winner will receive a Nintendo DS!
3) Fans Choice The top rated entry on YouTube will receive a Nintendo Wii!

Even If It Kills Me on the Charts
Just wanted to post an update about how Even If It Kills Me is doing on the charts. It is currently still on the Billboard 200 list at #117. Last week it was #76 and it debuted at #116.

The album is also at #9 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums list for the second week in a row after debuting at #1.

News on the Villanova concert
The Motion City Soundtrack concert at Villanova is apparently still not finalized. According to an article in the school's paper, the school has still not finalized all the contracts with the bands. I'll keep an eye out and post if I see confirmation for the show anywhere.
